Dr. Ekhaguosa Aisien is the creator of the Ewu-Iwu (the Edo dress), now accepted as the national dress of the Edo people.

A Surgeon, Writer and Historian.
He has dedicated the past fifty years to documenting, as much of the history of the Edo people of Nigeria as possible. Driven by the conviction that "when an old man dies in Africa, a library is in effect set ablaze". This has culminated in the publication of thirteen books on various aspects of Edo traditions to date. He is also the creator of the Ewu-Iwu (the Edo Dress), now accepted as the national dress of the Edo people.
